The health and wellness industry is undoubtedly one of the most lucrative industries in the world as everyone strives to maintain good health and will pay as much money as is needed to do so. As a result of this need, there has been a steady increase in companies that sell health products to treat a variety of ailments. A good number of these companies have an MLM business model which is popular because it allows for an opportunity to work from the comfort of your home but also controversial at the same time as very few people have found success with MLMs. Here is a look at Vasayo, an MLM opportunity in the health and wellness niche, to determine if it is a genuine opportunity that you might want to try.

WHAT IS VASAYO?

Vasayo is an MLM company that has its headquarters in Utah and was founded by husband and wife Dallin and Karree Larsen. Dallin first made waves as the president of sales for a company known as Usana in the 1990s. Before his appointment as president, Dallin held several executive positions in the company.

In 2001, Dallin began working as the sales vice president of a Florida-based company known as Dynamic Essentials. However, the company was found to violate the rules and regulations of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which subsequently led to its closure in 2003 as well as Dallin’s departure. During the same year that Dallin left Dynamic Essentials, he founded a weight loss company called Monarch Health Sciences, but this was also closed shortly after its launch.

In 2004, Dallin was introduced to acai berry, a fruit that is believed to be rich in nutrients. Upon further research and collaboration with one of his scientists, Dallin decided to launch MonaVie in 2005, an MLM company that he is perhaps best known for. MonaVie was initially considerably successful, but by 2014, the company began to decline, which prompted the departure of Dallin.

After moving on from MonaVie, Dallin launched Vasayo, a health and wellness company, in 2016 in collaboration with his wife.

Vasayo sells a variety of products, which include:

V-Tox

This is a supplement from Vasayo that is described as a food-and-plant-based blend of cleansing herbs and fulvic acid that is fused with the company’s advanced liposomal delivery technology to deliver vital nutrients to the body and consequently eliminate toxins. Key ingredients of the product include stinging nettle, apple pectin, mullein, dandelion root, and burdock root. It comes in a pack that contains 30 capsules and users are advised to take 1-2 per day. V-Tox costs $62.95.

Eternal

This product is described as containing the world’s most potent polyphenols and antioxidants. It is meant to help you feel and look younger by increasing elastin and collagen and by promoting cellular lifespan. Key ingredients include hydrolyzed collagen, non-GMO sunflower lecithin, and glutathione. Pricing starts at $125.95

V-Slim: Weight Management

V-Slim is meant to help users with weight control by boosting metabolism, slowing down the production of cortisol, reducing craving, promoting hormone balance, and maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. Ingredients incorporated in the product include coconut juice powder, chromium/vanadium, and Gymnema sylvestre. A 30-sachet pack costs $123.95.

Core Complete

Core Complete is described as a superfood blend that is made up of multivitamins, mineral supplements, probiotics, essential digestive enzymes, berry blend (pomegranate, acai, amla, and goji) and omegas. It is meant to enhance nutrition by filling gaps in a user’s daily diet. A pack contains 30 capsules and costs $72.95.

Neuro

This is a product that is intended to support the healthy function of the brain by enhancing memory, focus, clarity, and overall cognition. It is made up of ingredients such as ginkgo biloba, bacopa, citicoline, and alpha-GPC. A pack contains 30 capsules and costs $67.95.

Microlife V3

This product is meant to help sustain your energy, replenish your body, support antioxidant activity, and enhance cognitive performance. It is made up of green tea, coconut juice powder, maca, and adaptogenic herb blend. It costs $65.95.

Microlife Sleep

This is a sleep micromyst that is intended to improve a night’s sleep and help you wake up feeling rejuvenated and well-rested. Microlife Sleep supports normal sleep and reduces stress, consequently improving health. It is made up of ingredients such as melatonin and vitamins B2 and B6. It costs $62.95.

Microlife Renew

This is an oral spray that is intended to enhance flexibility, mobility, and range of motion within the joints. It also elevates the immune function and enhances the body’s inflammatory response. It is made up of ingredients such as acai berry, shiitake mushroom, ginger, and curcumin. A pack of 30 micro-gels costs $62.95.

THE COST OF BECOMING PART OF THE VASAYO BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

To become a part of the Vasayo business opportunity, you are required to pay a membership fee of $49.95. You are also expected to buy one of the several Vasayo packages. The packages cost $239, $329, $499, and $899. Vasayo also offers a “founder’s package’ which costs $1495. Those who opt to purchase the founder’s package are eligible for a 1% bonus pool.

To qualify to earn commissions, affiliates are required to have a minimum of two brand partners beneath them in their binary downline. To be considered an active affiliate, you are required to accumulate at least 80 PV (personal volume) per month and have a minimum of one customer.

VASAYO COMPENSATION PLANS

Other than earning commissions from selling products, the compensation plan allows you to earn in other ways. Additionally, you are also given 30 days to earn money from the orders that are made by newly recruited members.

Income streams provided in the compensation plan:

According to the Vasayo compensation plan, there are eight different ways through which you can earn money depending on your performance and affiliate rank.

Customer sales bonus (CSB)

Affiliates can sell products directly to prospective customers, and the difference between the wholesale price (product price) and the retail price (customer price) is given to affiliates as a commission.

Product introduction bonus (PIB)

The PIB is rewarded to affiliates who bring in new members. Active affiliates get to receive 20% PIB from the purchases that are made by newly recruited affiliates.

Team commission (TC)

Affiliates are eligible for the team commission bonus if they are an active brand partner. The payouts for this bonus are solely based on cycles, which are weekly and rated at $28 per cycle. You achieve a cycle if one leg of your binary downline has accumulated 240 CV and the other leg has 480 CV.

Team commission matching bonus (TCM)

For this income stream, you have a separate downline structure where all your referrals are placed in addition to the binary structure. This distinct downline is referred to as a unilevel structure, and the affiliate that you recruit is placed directly under you in the first level. If any affiliates on the affiliates on the first level bring in new affiliates, they are placed on the second level of the unilevel structure. The number of generations that you can earn on is determined by the rank you achieve:

Bronze – 20% on one level
Silver – 10% across two levels
Gold and platinum – 5% across three levels
Pearl and blue sapphire – 5% across four levels
Ruby and emerald – 5% across five levels
Diamond and imperial black diamond – 5% across six levels
Crown blue diamond and higher ranks – 5% across seven levels

Rank advancement bonus (RAB)

When affiliates working for Vasayo advance in rank, they are rewarded with a bonus starting from the black diamond rank and onwards:

Black diamond – $100,000
Royal black diamond – $200,000
Imperial black diamond – $400,000
Crown blue diamond – $600,000
Double crown blue diamond – $800,000
Triple crown blue diamond – $1,000,000

The payments for this bonus in particular are spread out over ten weeks and paid monthly. To qualify, you need to have at least 160 PV monthly.

Global leadership bonus (GLB)

To qualify for this bonus, you are expected to have a minimum of 160 PV monthly. You are also expected to have achieved the gold rank or higher to receive 3% of the global CV which is paid out weekly.

Lifestyle trips (LT)

Affiliates who attain the crown blue diamond, black diamond, diamond, and blue sapphire ranks are rewarded with lifestyle trips upon achieving these ranks. Lifestyle trips are all expenses paid getaways to a variety of destinations in the world.

Multiple business centers (MBC)

Any affiliate who attains the black diamond rank and goes on to maintain it for four consecutive weeks qualifies for an additional business center, which simply means that you increase your earning potential.

Affiliate Ranks:

Your rank in the company plays a crucial role in determining how much you earn in commissions. There are 18 ranks in the Vasayo compensation plan.

Brand Partner

You are required to sign up as a Vasayo affiliate.

Qualified brand partner

You have to generate at least 80 PV every month, maintain at least one active customer as well as two active affiliates, one on each side of your binary structure.

Executive brand partner

In addition to meeting the requirements for a qualified brand partner, you also have to generate 800 GV in the weaker binary leg.

Bronze

You have to generate at least 80 PV per month, maintain a minimum of two active affiliates as well as two active customers, and generate 2000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 300 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Silver

You are required to generate at least 80 PV per month, maintain a minimum of two active affiliates and two active customers, and generate 3000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 800 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Gold

You have to generate at least 80 PV per month, maintain at least two active affiliates and two customers, generate 6000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 2500 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Platinum

You have to generate a minimum of 80 PV per month, maintain at least two active affiliates and two customers, and generate 8000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 5000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Pearl

You are required to generate at least 160 PV per month, maintain at least four active affiliates and four active customers, and generate 10,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 8000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Blue sapphire

You have to generate at least 160 PV per month, maintain at least four active affiliates and four active customers, and generate 12,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 12,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Ruby

You have to accumulate at least 160 PV per month, maintain four active affiliates and four active customers, and generate 15,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 20,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Emerald

You are required to accumulate at least 160 PV per month, maintain four active affiliates and four active customers, and generate 20,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 30,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Diamond

You have to accumulate 240 PV per month, maintain six active affiliates and six active customers, and generate 30,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 50,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Black diamond

You have to accumulate 240 PV per month, maintain six active affiliates and six active customers, and generate 50,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 150,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Royal black diamond

You have to accumulate 240 PV per month, maintain six active affiliates and six active customers and generate 70,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 250,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Imperial black diamond

You have to accumulate 240 PV per month, maintain six active affiliates and six active customers, and generate 90,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 500,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Crown blue diamond

You are expected to accumulate 320 PV per month, maintain eight active affiliates and eight active customers, and generate 110,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 800,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Double crown blue diamond

You are expected to accumulate 320 PV per month, maintain eight active affiliates and eight active customers, and generate 130,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 1,000,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

Triple crown blue diamond

You are required to accumulate 320 PV per month, maintain eight active affiliates and eight active customers, and generate 150,000 GV in the weaker binary leg and 1,500,000 GV in your unilevel downline team.

PROS

The compensation plan is very detailed and provides all the ways that affiliates can earn.
Retail sales are one of the main ways you can earn commissions, so you don’t have to solely rely on recruitments.

CONS

The products are not FDA-approved, and there is no scientific evidence to back their supposed benefits.
Recruitment is very crucial if you want to rise in ranks and increase your earnings in the process.
The company is relatively new, and given the one of the owner’s previous reputation with the companies he’s worked with, there might be the risk of folding.
There is not much money to be made with Vasayo despite the time and effort you are required to put in.

VERDICT

Vasayo is a legitimate MLM company, but the earning potential is far from impressive. The MLM business model of the company means that only those that are at the very top receive most of the money, while the rest of the affiliates have to struggle to meet strict requirements and constantly recruit new members. I would be very cautious investing in this business opportunity!
