When she got back home to Massachusetts, she decided to open a seaside store where she sold oysters that had pearls in them. However, as Cabral became busier, she began to feel the need for more flexibility that would allow her to spend more time with her family, and as a result, she launched the Vantel Pearl Parties, which then gradually transformed to what is currently known as Vantel Pearls.
WHAT PRODUCTS DOES VANTEL PEARLS OFFER?
The Vantel Pearls product line comprises of a wide range of jewelry products. Although many of these products are a bit more on the conventional side, the flagship products by the company are more unique, containing pearls that are found in an oyster. These particular products are referred to as discovery kits, with both the Heart Pearl Discovery Kit and Mom Forever Pearl Discovery Kit – products in this category – retailing at $49.

How much does it cost to be a part of the business opportunity?
To become a consultant with Vantel Pearls, you are required to pay an affiliate membership fee of $99. This gives you access to video and audio training tools, e-newsletters, and product briefings.
THE COMPENSATION PLAN
As a Vantel pearls affiliate, you are required to sell the products that they offer to retail customers. Residual commissions that you earn are paid out through a unilevel compensation structure, plus you also get to earn performance-based bonuses.
According to the Vantel Pearls compensation plan, there are eight ranks in total that are achievable:
- New Recruit
When you sign up as a Vantel Pearls affiliate, you are required to organize and book three “host parties” within the first 35 days. To qualify as an active recruit, you need to have submitted a minimum of $500 worth of Total Sales Volume (TSV) over a two month back-to-back period. As an active recruit, you can earn 25% of commissionable volume (CV) through selling Vantel Pearls products.
An active recruit can also receive a 2% sponsorship override on the CV of the affiliates that they recruit every month. To be eligible for this override, you are required to have a personal TSV of $250 or higher every month. Active recruits are also eligible to receive a 40% discount on jewelry purchases.
- Consultant
When you attain this rank, you are eligible to earn 25% of personal CV, or 30% of the CV when you attain a personal TSV of $4,000 in a month. Consultants can also receive a 2% sponsorship override on the CV of the consultants that you recruit every month. To get this override, you should have a personal TSV of $250 or higher monthly. The 2% sponsorship override is available on the CV of recruits that are on the first level. You also get a 40% discount on jewelry purchases. Overrides are paid to affiliates each month that the aforementioned requirements are met.
- Star Consultant
To go from a consultant to a star consultant, you are required to have a minimum of $500 in personal TSV, $2000 or higher in team TSV (this includes your PSV), and have at least two active consultants that you sponsored.
Those who attain the rank of star consultant get to earn 25% of personal CV, or 30% of the CV when they attain a personal TSV of $4,000 or higher in a month. Star consultants are also eligible to receive a 4% override on their CV each month, 4% override on the 1st level monthly CV, and a 40% discount on their jewelry purchases.
- Leader
To attain the rank of a leader, you have to bring in $1,000 or more in TSV, have a minimum of $4,000 in team TSV (this includes your PSV), and also have at least 3 active consultants that you sponsored.
A leader is eligible to earn 25% of personal CV, or 30% of personal CV when they attain a personal TSV of $4,000 or higher in a month. Leaders can also receive a 7% override on their CV each month, 7% override on the 1st level monthly CV, 4% override on the 2nd level monthly CV, and a 40% discount on their jewelry purchases.
- Star Leader
To reach this rank, you are required to have $1,000 or more in TSV, have a minimum of $8,000 in team TSV (including your PSV), have a minimum of 3 active consultants that you actively sponsored in level one, and also have at least one leader in your first level.
As a star leader, you are eligible to receive 25% of personal CV, or 30% of personal CV when you attain a TSV of $4,000 or higher in a month. Star leaders can also earn an 8% override on their CV monthly, 8% override on the 1st level monthly CV, 4% override on the 2nd level monthly CV, 2% override on 3rd level monthly CV, and a 40% discount on their jewelry purchases.
- Director
To become a director, you are required to have $1,000 or more in TSV, have at least $15,000 in team TSV (including your PSV), and have at least 3 active consultants that you sponsored, as well as 2 qualified leaders, with one in the first level.
As a director, you get to earn 25% of personal CV, or 30% of personal CV when you attain a TSV of $4,000 or higher. You are also eligible to receive a 9% override on your CV monthly, 9% override on the 1st level monthly CV, 4% override on the 2nd level monthly CV, 2% override on the 3rd level monthly CV, a one-time bonus of $500 for attaining the director rank, and a 40% discount on your jewelry purchases.
- Executive Director
To attain this rank, you need to have $1,000 or more in TSV, have a minimum of $25,00o in team TSV (including your PSV), have at least 3 active consultants that you sponsored in level one, and a minimum of 4 qualified leaders, two of whom must be from your first level.
An executive director you can earn 25% of personal CV, or 30% of personal CV when you earn a TSV of $4,000 or higher. You can also receive a 9% override on your CV monthly, 9% override on the 1st level monthly CV, 4% override on the 2nd level monthly CV, 2% override on the 3rd level monthly CV, 1% override on the 4th level monthly CV, a one-time bonus of $1,000 for reaching the executive director after qualifying for 3 consecutive months and a 40% discount on your jewelry purchases.
Executive directors can also earn a $600 bonus every month that they achieve pay level team sales of $60,000 or more in TSV in addition to meeting their specified override requirements.
- Star Executive Director
To become a star executive director, you are required to have $1,000 or more in TSV, have at least $35,000 or more in team TSV (including your PSV), have at least 3 active consultants that you sponsored, and at least 6 qualified leaders in your pay levels, 3 of whom have to be from your first level.
A star executive director is eligible to receive 25% of personal CV, or 30% of personal CV when you attain a monthly TSV of $4,000 or more. You can also earn an 11% override on your CV every month, 11% override on the 1st level monthly CV, 6% override on the 2nd level monthly CV, 3% override on the 3rd level monthly, CV, 1% override on the 4th level monthly CV, a one-time bonus of $2,000 for attaining the executive director rank after qualifying for 3 consecutive months, and a 40% discount on your jewelry purchases.
Qualified star executive directors also get to earn an $800 bonus every month that they achieve pay level team sales of $80,000 or more in TSV.
PROS
- The range of products sold are unique
Although the jewelry industry is one of the most popular niches, products from Vantel Pearls are likely to intrigue prospective customers as some categories come with pearls that are supposedly the real thing.
- The company has been around for some time
Vantel Pearls has been around for almost three decades. This is by no means an easy feat, especially when you consider the fact that it is an MLM. Many companies with a similar business model tend to cave a few years into the business, so its perseverance over the years must mean that they are doing something right.
- Selling Vantel Pearl products is one of the main ways you earn an income
It is worth mentioning that you can potentially earn considerable profits by selling the required amount of products from the company. This goes to show that Vantel Pearl has genuine products that they promote without fully relying on recruitment alone, as is often the case with many MLMs.
CONS
- Steep commission qualifications
To be eligible for the commissions and bonuses that are offered in the compensation plan, you have to meet a variety of qualifications, which are different for each rank. Although the company is sales-driven, it will still be considerably difficult to advance in ranks as well as to maintain your membership because of the quotas you are expected to meet.
- You have to recruit new consultants
Although Vantel Pearls does not push as hard as other MLMs when it comes to recruitment, it is still an integral part of the compensation plan. The only way you can earn significant commissions is by constantly recruiting people who are then expected to sell and promote the company’s products and become part of your downline.
- The products are not cheap
The products sold by Vantel Pearls are not the most affordable, which means that you may have a hard time as a consultant convincing prospective customers to make a purchase. This is especially true when you consider the fact that the company faces competition from other online retailers as well as box stores selling similar products for a fairer price.
- Low earning potential

VERDICT
Vantel Pearls is a genuine company as it offers legitimate products that you can sell to customers, but I would not recommend relying on it for a full time income as the earning potential is far from impressive. Like with any other MLM business model, you also have to constantly recruit new members to increase your downline residual income, which is certainly not an easy feat. Constantly looking for people to recruit and selling unwanted products to friends and family is a difficult business model. So what other choices do you have?
