The legalization of CBD and hemp oil in many states has allowed a lot of companies to come out with their lines of products that they intend to sell to the general public in one way or another. These products vary in quality, but one thing that they have in common is that they are usually aimed at body wellness.
With so many companies jumping on this bandwagon, it can be hard to separate the ones that have a genuine product and business plan from those that are scams. You might have heard about Prime My Body from a family member or friend who wanted you to be part of the business opportunity and wondered if it is worth the risk. Here is an honest and unbiased review to help you make up your mind and answer the question: Is Prime My Body A Scam?
WHAT IS PRIME MY BODY?
Prime My Body is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company that operates within the health and wellness niche, with its main focus being nutritional supplements. The company has its headquarters in the US state of Texas and is headed by Paul Rogers, the company CEO. Brian Cummings is also credited on the Prime my Body website as a co-founder of the company, although, strangely enough, no other co-founders are listed anywhere on the site.
On his LinkedIn page, Paul cites himself as the CEO of Digital International Media Group (DIMG), which is credited as the parent company of Prime My Body. Paul appears to have first ventured into the MLM space in 2013 with a company identified as CieAura, which dealt with the manufacture and selling of “holographic chips” which supposedly helped to ease chronic pain, increase energy levels, alleviate sinus allergies, and enhance libido. However, if you try to visit CieAura, you will realize that the company has since closed. According to the company’s Facebook page, the company shut down in April 2016.
A few months after the initial post on the company’s Facebook page, a marketing video for Prime My Body was released on July 2016 in which Paul appeared in claiming that the company operates in the United States, Taiwan, China, with plans to begin operations in Mexico in the near future.
Currently, the company has its own cryptocurrency (the $PMB token) that is meant to make international transactions more efficient. The company also plans to expand into international markets, including the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
WHAT PRODUCTS DOES THE COMPANY OFFER?

Recept Hemp Extract
This is a hemp extract that is made up of organically sourced polyterpenes and phytocannabinoids. It is formulated using sonicated nano-technology to create fine-sized liposomes. The product costs $108.
Body Therapy
This is a non-greasy hemp salve that is made up of cannabinoids and a variety of botanical extracts. Body Therapy is meant to ease aches, tension, and strains. It costs $89.
PrimeMyPet
This is a product that contains ingredients such as yucca plant, fish oil, hawthorn berry extract, and red algae. It aims to alleviate physical aches in both dogs and cats. The product costs $92.
Prime Protein
This is a protein superfood that is formulated to enhance the performance of the body. It contains ingredients such as hemp seed protein, brown rice protein, pea protein, and chia. It costs $60.50.
Hydrate Pure
This is a hemp-infused moisturizer that is made for topical application on dry and damaged skin. It is meant to provide nourishment and boost cellular hydration by locking in moisture and consequently prevent the appearance of fine lines. It costs $119.
Lip Balm
This product, also known as hempening vanilla, combines organic hemp seed oil with emollients that are rich in moisture in a vanilla flavor. A pack containing four of these lip balms will cost you $52.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BE PART OF THE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY?
To join Prime My Body, you are required to pay a $39 fee that recurs every year. In addition to the annual fee, there is also the cost of purchasing the product packs to take into consideration as well. The product packs are as follows:
Personal Pack
This pack comprises of one bottle of nano-enhanced hemp oil as well as one-month commission qualification for a total cost of $199.
Starter Pack
This pack includes three bottles of hemp oil in addition to one-month commission qualification for a cost of $357.
Business Pack
The business pack includes six bottles of hemp oil plus two months commission qualification for a cost of $714.
Premium Pack
The premium pack comes with ten bottles of hemp oil as well as three months commission qualification, costing $1071.
Premium Pack +

PRIME MY BODY COMPENSATION PLAN
There are ten ranks to achieve in the Prime My Body compensation rank:
New Star
At this level, you are required to recruit a minimum of one commission qualified affiliate and maintain them, refer and maintain a retail customer, earn a minimum of $20 in residual binary commissions every month, and generate 200 group volume (GV) per month.
4 Star
This level requires that you recruit and maintain a minimum of four commission qualified affiliates, recruit and maintain two retail customers, earn a minimum of $250 in residual binary commissions every month, and generate 2,000 GV per month.
Bronze
For this level, you need to recruit and maintain a minimum of five commission qualified affiliate, recruit and retain two retail customers, earn a minimum of $500 in residual binary commissions every month, and generate 5,000 GV per month.
Silver
You have to recruit and maintain a minimum of five commission qualified affiliates, recruit and retain three retail customers, earn a minimum of $1,000 in residual binary commissions every month, and generate 10,000 GV per month.
Gold
You need to recruit and maintain a minimum of six commission qualified affiliates, recruit and retain four retail customers, earn a minimum of $2,500 in residual binary commissions every month, and generate 25,000 GV per month.
Emerald
You are required to recruit and maintain a minimum of seven commission qualified affiliates, recruit and retain five retail customers, earn a minimum of $5,000 in residual binary commissions every month, and come up with 50,000 GV per month.
Diamond
You have to recruit and maintain a minimum of seven commission qualified affiliates, recruit and retain five retail customers, earn a minimum of $10,000 in residuary binary commissions every month and come up with 100,000 GV per month.
Double Diamond
You are required to recruit and maintain a minimum of nine commission qualified affiliates, recruit and retain six retail customers, earn a minimum of $25,000 in residual binary commissions every month, and generate 300,000 GV per month.
Triple Diamond
You need to recruit and maintain a minimum of twelve commission qualified affiliates, recruit and retain seven retail customers, earn a minimum of $50,000 in residual binary commissions every month, and generate 600,000 GV per month
Black Diamond
You need to recruit and maintain a minimum of fifteen commission qualified affiliates, recruit and retain eight retail customers, earn a minimum of $100,000 in residual binary commissions every month, and generate 1,000,000 GV a month.
According to the compensation plan, there are eight ways you can earn an income with Prime My Body, but first, you have to:
- Pay the $39 to enroll as an affiliate
- Become an active affiliate by purchasing at least $100 with of Prime My Body products in a single order that will generate volume either through one of your customers or the back office.
- Become a qualified affiliate by sponsoring two active affiliates who should then become active, with one on the left team and the other on the right team.
Retail Customers
For this level, you have to be an active affiliate. You will earn the difference between the retail price of the product and its wholesale price. Additionally, the points that are generated by the confirmed retail purchase will go towards the “Pay leg” side of your team building reward part of the rewards plan.
Preferred Customers
A preferred customer is a term that refers to a customer that is willing to have a product shipped to them monthly. The first order that you place as a preferred customer (PC) will generate a customer acquisition bonus (CAB) of 25% for the sponsoring affiliate. Follow-up orders will generate a residual rewards commission.
Fast Builder Rewards (FBR)
As a sponsor, you are offered 25% of the initial product package that an affiliate you recruited purchases. However, individual product orders and subsequent orders are not eligible for FBR.
Team Building Rewards (TBR)
All the affiliates that are part of Prime My Body have two teams; a right team and left team. Anyone that you recruit will join these teams. When any customer or affiliate on either of these teams buys a product, they will earn reward points (RP) for their team generated at 50% of the product purchase price. The team with more RP is referred to as the power leg, while the one with fewer points is called the pay leg. Once enough reward points are generated by both team, the volume will cycle and you will earn a commission. When four affiliates are active at the same time, reward points increase from 50% to 80% of the product purchase price.
Group Volume
All the affiliates that are in your downline and those beneath them are in groups. The reward points that are earned in these groups will help you attain the group volume (GV) requirement necessary to achieve a particular rank. For gold, silver, and bronze one group contributes a maximum of 50% of the total GV for a given rank, whereas for emerald and higher, one group contributes a maximum of 40% of the total GV.
Residual Rewards
This reward scheme takes into account the product purchases that are made by affiliates as well as customers in the downline of an active affiliate. All the product purchases payout 20% that goes directly to the residual rewards portion of the compensation plan, except orders that payout CAB and FBR. This amount is distributed along a unilevel tree made up of seven levels.
Matching Bonus
50% of the total team building rewards from the groups you sponsor are shared accordingly along your unilevel tree up to the seventh level.
Leadership Bonus
When you attain the diamond rank and higher, you will earn bonuses ranging from $1,000-$10,000 each month.
PROS
- The compensation plan is comprehensive and not as complex as what you might come across with other MLMs.
- There are only six products currently on sale, so there is not much to learn about or focus on selling.
CONS
- The products are exorbitantly priced, so it will be harder for you to convince customers to purchase them over cheaper similar products.
- Because it is an MLM, your earnings depend on the number of people you successfully recruit.
- The potential of making considerable earnings with Prime My Body is very low due to the numerous requirements it has in terms of price as well as its MLM structure.
VERDICT
Although Prime My Body is a legitimate company with legitimate products, the success rate is very low because it has an MLM based model. With MLMs, only those that are at the highest ranks get to earn a good amount of money while those who rank lower have to work very hard for very little. As a result, I wouldn’t recommend joining Prime My Body as a business partner.
WHAT IS BETTER THAN PRIME MY BODY?
If you are not really excited about nagging friends an family into buying expensive products that they don’t want, you are not alone. That is the main problem with MLM’s. You are encouraged to recruit as many people as you possibly can. Friends and family are the logical (if uncomfortable) targets. The good news is that you don’t need to go through that to start your own business and earn money. You can do it from the comfort of your own home, without pushy sales tactics or crazy downlines. I am talking about affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is a business model by which you get paid for making successful product (or services) recommendations to people that are looking for said products or services. There is no inventory needed and no shipping hassles.
